Meet The Team

We have 10 members of staff who have all worked together as a good team for 15 years, our staff are all trained in child care with a minimum of Level 2 upwards.

They under go Health & Safety checks on a regular basis and all staff have up to date First Aid Certificates. Staff regularly attend courses so that we keep up to date on the best way to look after and teach your child. Our staff are our best assets as they care and are passionate about giving the children the best start in learning.


Debbie Cooke

Position: Proprietor

I have worked in Childcare and Early Years for 25 years and am qualified to NVQ level 3. I also hold a certificate in Paediatric First Aid Training and Designated Safeguarding Leader, as well as completing Channel and Prevent Duty courses. I have attended various 'in house' training courses, which we hold at the Kindergarten. I am joint owner, at the Kindergarten, with Sue since we opened 16 years ago. I enjoy spending time with my Grandchildren and family. I love living in Herne Bay, enjoy the beach, swimming, kayaking and walking my dogs. I also enjoy entertaining, going out, dancing, crafts, cinema and enjoying life.


Sue Jacobs

Position: Proprietor

I have worked in Early Years Settings and Primary Schools within Sittingbourne for the past 23 years and now jointly own Little Treasures Kindergarten with Debbie for the last 16 years. I am Paediatric First Aid Trained and also the Designated Safeguarding Leader, alongside Debbie as well as completing Channel and Prevent Duty courses. I have attended various 'in house' training courses, which we hold at the Kindergarten. I love spending lots of time with my Grandchildren, my children and special times with other family members. I enjoy holidays both in the UK and abroad, seeing new and interesting places. I am happy socialising with friends, eating out, going to the Cinema/Theatre and keeping fit at the gym.


Cheryl Claridge

Position: Deputy Manager

I have worked in Early Years for 24 years, having spent the past 11 years at Little Treasures Kindergarten, where I am now Deputy Manager and Health and Safety Officer. I hold a Diploma in Pre-School Practice, which is equivalent to Level 3 in Early Years. I am Paediatric First Aid trained and have attended Safeguarding Courses as well as completing Channel and Prevent Duty courses. I have attended various 'in house' training courses, which we hold at the Kindergarten. I enjoy spending time with my Grandchildren, knitting, crocheting and paper crafts. I also enjoy going out with friends and going to live music events.


Louise Summers

Position: SENCO Leader

I have worked at Little Treasures Kindergarten for 5 years and took on the role of SENCO after completing my NVQ 3 in Early Years. I have attended many SEN courses to extend my knowledge in this field. I am currently working towards a Degree in Early Childhood. I am First Aid Trained and have attended Safeguarding courses as well as completing Channel and Prevent Duty courses. I have attended various 'in house' training courses, which we hold at the Kindergarten. I enjoy running, cooking and socialising with family and friends.


Fiona Ware

Position: Kindergarten Assistant

I have worked at Little Treasures Kindergarten for 15 years and hold a level 3 NVQ in Early Years. I am Paediatric First Aid Trained, attended Safeguarding courses as well as completing Channel and Prevent Duty courses. I have attended various 'in house' training courses, which we hold at the Kindergarten. I enjoy time spent with my family and socialising with my friends. I enjoy Line Dancing, holidays abroad, eating out and going to the Theatre.


Dominique Smith

Position: Kindergarten Assistant

I have worked at Little Treasures Kindergarten for 3 years and during this time I have completed my NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Education. I am Paediatric First Aid Trained, have attended Safeguarding courses as well as Channel and Prevent Duty courses. I have attended various 'in house' training courses, which we hold here at the Kindergarten and various settings in Sittingbourne, through the Collaboration, which we are part of. I enjoy socialising with my family and friends, cooking, singing, creative and decorating designs.


Sharon Pell

I have worked at Little Treasures Kindergarten for 17 years. I have completed my NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Childcare and I am First Aid trained. I have attended Safeguarding courses as well as Channel and Prevent Duty courses. I have also attended various 'in house' training courses here at the Kindergarten or other local nurseries that we are involved in through the Collaboration Team, which we are a part of. I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my dog, eating out, going to the cinema and having a good time, as well as socialising with friends.


Natalie Jordan

I have worked at Little Treasures Kindergarten for 4 years. I first started as a mum, when my son attended the Kindergarten. Since being employed here I have completed my NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Education. I am First Aid trained, have attended Safeguarding courses as well as Channel and Prevent Duty courses. I have attended various 'in house' training courses which we hold at the Kindergarten or other local nurseries that we are involved in through the Collaboration Team, which we are a part of. I like spending time with my family and  going out to 'special places' with my son. I enjoy eating out and socialising with my friends.


Jemma Sidney

I first attended Little Treasures Kindergarten when I was at Secondary School, doing my school placement and then as a student through college, gaining my Health and Social Care Level 3. I am now doing an apprenticeship in Early Years and am working towards gaining my Level 3 qualification. During my time here I have gained my First Aid certificate, completed courses in Safeguarding, Channel and Prevent Duty courses. I have also attended a variety of short courses within the Kindergarten which has been invaluable during my apprenticeship. I enjoy going out for meals and  spending time socialising with family and friends. I like walking my dogs and love spending time at the beach.
